San Francisco passed a new law last month that requires all retailers to display the amount of radiation a cellphone emits. Predictably, that law is now coming under fire from CTIA, the wireless industry group. CTIA has filed a lawsuit to block enforcement of the ordinance.

Samsung Announces 12-Megapixel Camera Phone

According to Reuters report, Samsung Electronics announced the Pixon12, a 12-megapixel monster that will be the first such high-end cameraphone to actually hit store shelves.

According to Samsung, Pixon12 M8910 sports a dedicated camera button, and users are promised fast image saving for next shot so users can move to the next shot within around 2 seconds. The phone will also offer touch autofocus tracking, where users can select focus point with the touch of a finger, after which the AF function will automatically follow the object.

Samsung said the new Pixon12 model would go on sale in Europe later this month, a blow to struggling rival Sony Ericsson, who has been touting a 12-megapixel model since February but will sell it only in the fourth quarter.
